Thomas A. Musi, Sr., of Berwyn, Pennsylvania, died on March 19, 2021 at the age of 73 after a courageous fight with cancer.

Simply said, Tom set the best possible example of how a life should be lived. Tom was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, and a businessman like no other. He enjoyed life, love, and success to its fullest. May we all strive to live by his example.

Tom’s story started on June 25, 1947, the oldest child to Angelo and Lydia Musi was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His younger sister, Betty Ann, was born two years later. Tom would spend his childhood, grow up, make many lifelong friends, and go to school in Lower Merion, Pennsylvania attending Wynnewood Elementary School, Ardmore Junior High School and Lower Merion High School. As a youth, he was always a talented basketball player, a result of his father’s influence, and played through college. He went on to attend Washington and Jefferson College in Pennsylvania. College is where he would meet the love of his life, Mary Louise, then Calpin of Youngstown, Ohio. Tom and “Boots”, as she is known by many, married while both were in their senior year of college and were married for 52 years. They were blessed with two children, Thomas Jr., and Denise. The family grew up in Berwyn where Tom lived until his passing.

Tom was renowned for his business acumen. For many years, he owned and operated multiple janitorial companies. While owning and operating these companies, Tom was also a smart investor, but particularly in real estate. He had a hand in building numerous real estate properties, including both commercial and residential properties throughout the tristate area. His great success allowed him to retire at an early age and enjoy many years surrounded by his loving family.

And Tom loved to be surrounded by his family. Tom’s grandchildren were his heart and joy, Kaley, Billy, Tommy, Braden, Wesley and Dylan. His favorite place was Ocean City, NJ. He spent his life vacationing in the town and purchased his own home for his family there. As a result, his children and grandchildren have grown up in Ocean City spending each summer of their lives there. It was his favorite place – sitting in his chair and planning dinner at 9:00 a.m. Although Tom was always home for Ocean City summers, he also loved to travel. Tom and Boots in their retired years especially loved to travel to the island of Aruba, where he, Boots and the family spent many happy times together enjoying amazing meals and the sun.

Tom was also an avid golfer and a member of Aronomink Golf Club for over 40 years. He served on the Board of the Club and loved spending time at the club and the friends he met there, from the members to the employees.

Loved ones that cleared the path for Tom are his parents Angelo and Lydia Musi. Loved ones that will miss Tom and who he leaves behind on this Earth are his Wife, Mary Louise “Boots” Musi, his son, Thomas Musi, Jr. (Robyn), his daughter, Denise Mullray (Bill), his sister Betty Ann Graham (Bill), his grandchildren Kaley Musi, Billy Mullray, Thomas Musi, III, Braden Mullray, Wesley Musi, Dylan Musi, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. A private mass for the family will be held at St. Norbert’s Church of Berwyn.
