Easter season fun begins this weekend for local children

Tickets available to ride the Easter Bunny Express

Hop on board the West Chester Railroad and take a 90-minute round trip along the beautiful Chester Creek from West Chester to the historic Glen Mills village. The Easter Bunny will be on board the heated decorated train handing out treats to all passengers.

During a brief stop at the historic Glen Mills station there will be plenty of opportunit­ies to take a brief photo with the Easter Bunny and explore the historic station. The Bunny Express runs noon and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 27 and 28, and April 3 and 4. For more informatio­n and tickets, visit www. wcrailroad.com.

Grab-N-Go Egg Hunt planned in Chester

The City of Chester and The Chester Inter-Greek Council will present a GrabN-Go Easter Treats event for ages 2-12, at noon Saturday, April 3, in Memorial Park. Everyone who participat­es must adhere to CDC guidelines by wearing a face mask and social distancing.

Snacks will be provided by CIGC, Leah Chapter #27, Minaret Court #154, and Minaret Temple #174.

VFW 928 holds Easter Egg Hunt

VFW 928, 1805 MacDade Blvd., Folsom, will hold an Easter Egg Hunt for children, 11 a.m. Sunday, March 28. Kids, age 13 and younger, can bring their own baskets and have fun finding candy-filled eggs and a few surprise eggs among them. There will be several ways to win prizes and the Easter Bunny will be there, as well. The Easter Egg Hunt will take place in the field, behind the VFW and everyone must wear a mask.

Take hayride to Easter Bunny House at Linvilla Orchards

Hop over to Bunnyland at Linvilla Orchards for a hayride to the Easter Bunny’s house, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 27, through Wednesday, March 31, and Thursday, April 1, through Saturday, April 3. Visitors are welcome to bring a camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny as he greets riders on the hay wagon. Kids can enjoy a story and special treats. After the ride, remember to stop by the Garden Center for Easter plants, flowers and accessorie­s or the Farm Market for fresh bakery items or a homemade chocolate treat. The Farm Market is open 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily.
