Robert “Bobby” Paul Katch

Robert “Bobby” Paul Katch of Norwood, PA passed away on Monday April 5, 2021 at the age of 86. He was born in Mount Carmel, PA to the late Andrew and Anna (nee Budnar) Katch.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Rita (nee Malkoski) Katch; his twin sister Rita (nee Katch) Dombroski; sons Robert (Karen) Katch and David (Christine) Katch; grandchildren Samantha, Joshua, Emma, and Ella; along with many beloved nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Anna (nee Budnar); brothers John and Andrew; and sister Marie (nee Ross).

Robert graduated from Mount Carmel Area High School in 1952. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After his service he was employed for many years as a Flight Test Instrumentation Specialist at BOEING in Ridley Park, PA and New Castle, DE. He was a proud member of the UAW. He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Eagles, and Penn State Nittany Lions. He took pride in doing his own automotive repairs and fixing small items for family. He enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife Rita, telling jokes, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, Norwood, PA. A Prayer Service will begin at 11:00 am followed by interment in Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
