D.A.: Philly man busted in $2,800 drug sale
RADNOR » A Philadelphia man was arrested last week after selling an undercover police officer $2,800 worth of psychedelics, according to a release from District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer.
Michael P. Jordan, 40, is charged with manufacture of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The arrest was the result of a joint investigation initiated March 15 by the Delaware County Drug Task Force and the Radnor Police Department, according to the release.
Officers arranged a drug buy a half pound of marijuana, a quarter pound of mushrooms, ten THC cartridges and one sheet of LSD in the rear parking lot of 201 David Drive in Bryn
Mawr, the release says.
Jordan allegedly entered the vehicle of an undercover agent and handed over a vacuum sealed bag containing the contraband in exchange for $2,800. He was taken into custody and all items seized were transported to the Radnor Police Department where they tested positive for controlled substances, the release says.
Jordan was arraigned before Magisterial District
Judge Lee Cullen Grimes, who set bail at $15,000 unsecured. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 14 before Magisterial District Judge Walter A. Strohl. Court records indicate Jordan is represented by defense counsel Michael Parlow.
“This arrest – which was the result of a month’s long undercover investigation – is another example of the importance of collaboration between the detectives of the Criminal Investigation Division and local police departments,” said Stollsteimer. “I want to commend the members of the Delaware County Drug Task Force, led by CID Sgt. Anthony Ruggeri and Deputy District Attorney Laurie Moore, and Detective Jonathan Jagodinski of the Radnor Police Department, as well as other members of the department, for securing the arrest of this individual.”
