Woolery brothers lead Penncrest

No one was able to contain Penncrest’s Woolery brothers Thursday.

Stephen Woolery scored six goals, and Cody Woolery netted four goals and one assist to lead the Lions to an 18-5 boys lacrosse victory over Lower Merion.

Jason Poole (three goals, one assist) and Brennan Kaut (two goals, one assist) also excelled on offense for the undefeated Lions (4-0).

Max Busenkell supplied four goals and two assists, and Bishop Barnes tallied a hat trick for the Jags. Drew Keaveney made 10 saves in goal.

Sam Donaldson led Springfiel­d with a hat trick.

STRATH HAVEN 20, UPPER DARBY 1 »

Tate Gorman, Jamie Lenhart, Gabe Broome and Matt Faggioli each recorded hat tricks as the Panthers rolled.

Girls Lacrosse

Kait Henning and Sophie Kingsborou­gh scored four goals each for Garnet Valley in a 16-5 win over Springfiel­d.

Kendall DiCamillo added two goals, three assists and five ground balls. Maddie Kalish and Maya Langin both scored twice in the winning effort.

Mia Valerio paced the Cougars with three goals.

RIDLEY 16, HARRITON 4 » Emily Liberio produced five goals, and Hailey Shanahan recorded a hat trick to lead the Green Raiders to an impressive win over the Rams. Krista Geibler tossed in a pair of goals, and Sydney Verlingher­i contribute­d a goal and two assists. Grace DeCarolis recorded nine saves.

Softball

Lauren Martin came through in the clutch for Archbishop Carroll.

The cleanup hitter blasted a walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Archbishop Carroll a 9-8 Catholic League win over Conwell-Egan.

The Patriots (3-0, 2-0 PCL) rallied after the Eagles scored three runs in the top of the seventh.

Martin powered the offense with three hits and four RBIs. Winning pitcher Gia Liciardell­o received offensive support from Cheyenne Nichoff and Maya Preston, who combined for four hits and four stolen bases.

ARCHBISHOP RYAN 9, BONNER-PRENDERGAS­T 8 » Sam Lachette had a hit, three RBIs and five stolen bases for the Pandas.

RIDLEY 11, BISHOP SHANAHAN 1 » Ridley ace Madison Chapman struck out 10 and allowed three hits. Chapman was 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and a double.

Paige McLaughlin singled and homered for the Green Raiders (4-0). Haley McMenamin (double), Mary DelFera and Sydney Schaefer also had two knocks.

Baseball

Cardinal O’Hara’s Frank Parrotti brought his filthy swing-and-miss stuff to the mound Thursday.

Parrotti threw a complete game with 14 strikeouts in a 3-2 victory over Lansdale Catholic. He scattered three hits.

Brandon Fanelli led the O’Hara offense with two hits and a pair of RBIs.

BONNER-PRENDERGAS­T 15, ARCHBISHOP RYAN 0 » The Friars dominated the Raiders as Joey DeMucci went 3-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs. Kevin McGonigle set the tone at the top of the order with a single, three RBIs, two walks and two runs scored. Kyle Lazer allowed just two hits and struck out seven in a four-inning shutout.

CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 5, PLUMSTEAD CHRISTIAN 4 » Brody Dutton delivered the go-ahead RBI hit in the top of the seventh inning. Colton Haseltine’s double started the rally.

Lars Specht was 3-for-3 and recorded seven punchouts in three shutout innings of relief.

DOCK MENNONITE 10, DELCO CHRISTIAN 0 » Five errors cost the Knights, whose pitching yielded only one earned run. Josh Freiling, Stephen Wisnewski, Cole Levis and Jordan Mitchell each produced a hit in the loss.

Boys Tennis

Radnor dropped only five games in its 7-0 win over Springfiel­d.

Ariston Fonscea and Sam Hilbert picked up 6-0, 6-0 wins at first and third singles, respective­ly, while Ryan Klein claimed a 6-0, 6-2 decision in the second match. HAVERFORD 7, HARRITON 0 » No. 1 Ethan Carr and No. 3 Sloan Steinberg cruised 6-0, 6-0 in singles action for the Fords. Jacob Kernstein was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at second singles. Aidan Hsu and Aaron Lutz triumphed 6-0, 6-0 at fourth doubles. HAVERFORD SCHOOL 5, LA SALLE 2 » Andrew Minnis and Christian Crowder triumphed in singles competitio­n. Ethan Chan and Damian Ferraro earned a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles.

Girls Track

Haverford logged wins in three events in its first Central League meet of the season.

The Lions lost the team battle to Conestoga (42-107), Lower Merion (58-90) and Strath Haven (46-104).

Aubrey Leneweaver, Alyssa Bloxton, Morgan Elliot and Erin Oslasvky took first in the 4 x 100 relay. lyssa Bloxton, Leneweaver, Camille Sealy and Elliot bested the field in the 4 x 400. Elliot also won the 400-meter dash.

Girls Tennis

Academy Park’s Briyae Jackson and Kate Phanthavon­g finished second in the United X League doubles tournament.

In the semifinals, Jackson and Phanathavo­ng defeated Chichester’s Courtney Carberry and Maggie Malloy 2-6, 6-0, 10-3. They lost in the final against Reading’s Hallie Guerrero and Valerie Sanchez 6-0, 6-1.
