Harry Francis Dunn, Jr. passed away on June 4, 2021 of natural causes. Born to Harry Francis Dunn, Sr. and Kathryn E. Dunn on September 24, 1929, Harry was the oldest of their four sons. He was raised in Ashton Township where was an Eagle Scout and played varsity football for Media High School, from which he graduated in 1947. He attended the University of Delaware, where he also played football, and graduated in 1952. After graduation, he served two years is the U.S. Army Signal Corp and upon his honorable discharge, he entered Temple Law School, graduating in 1957.

In October 1957 Harry met Marjorie Edith (Heymann) Dunn. They married on November 29, 1958, a date Harry always referred to as “the best and luckiest day of my life,” and were happily married until Marjorie’s death in 2017.

Harry and Marjorie had four beloved children: Kevin (Maura), Steven (Holli), David (Judy) and Kate (Jim). They raised their family in Delaware County, PA. Harry was an avid and skilled sportsman, specializi­ng in hunting waterfowl and fly fishing. He was one of the founding members and long-time board member of the Lower Toby Sportsman’s Club in the Poconos.

Harry was the proud grandfathe­r of six grandchild­ren, Jeremy, Zachary, Benjamin, Abigail, Julie and Katie. He doted on them and showered them with love.

Profession­ally, Harry specialize­d in property law. Admitted to practice in Pennsylvan­ia, Delaware, and before the United States Supreme Court, he was the founding partner of Dunn & Miller. Harry served as President of the Delaware County Junior Bar Associatio­n, President, Secretary, and Member of the Board of Directors of the Delaware County Bar Associatio­n, and Member of the House of Delegates of the Pennsylvan­ia Bar Associatio­n.

Harry was a loyal and generous person. Nothing mattered more to him than his family and friends.. His life can best be summed up by his favorite quote from Red Smith -- “Dying is no big deal; the least of us will manage it. Living is the trick.”

Harry is pre-deceased by his wife, Marjorie, his son Kevin, and his brother Robert. He is survived by his children, their spouses and children, his brothers Richard (Marianne), Gerard (Patricia), his sister-inlaw Kathleen, and their families.

Harry’s funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. on June 22, 2021 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 430 Valleybroo­k Rd, Glen Mills, PA 19342. The family will receive visitors at the church between 9:15 and 10:15 a.m.
