Linda K. Freeman, 75, passed away suddenly on January 22, 2021 at her home in Myrtle Trace in Venice, Florida.

Linda was born in Darby, Pa. and lived most of her life in Glenolden and Aston, Pa. The daughter of James Reece Knorr and Florence Evans Knorr, Linda graduated from Interboro High School and Wesley College and enjoyed a career as a public relations profession­al, holding various positions at Sun Company, Chilton Company, Springhous­e Corporatio­n and Director of Public Relations at Widener University. Linda also owned and operated her own business specializi­ng in public relations and special projects writing in support of advertisin­g sales for a number of trade magazines.

She and her husband of 53 years, Kerry A. Freeman, moved from Aston, Pa. to Venice, Florida in 2016.

While living in Pa., Linda was a co-founder of the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry in Prospect Park, Pa. and served as the director of the food pantry until retiring from the post in 2012. For her community work there, she is a member of the Interboro High School Hall of Fame.

Linda was well-liked and will forever be missed. Linda was an ardent supporter of the work of the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry and when she moved to Venice, helped coordinate donations from her community in Venice to the South County Food Bank, serving Venice, Florida.

Linda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Kerry, of Glen Mills, Pa.; a sister, Paula K. Brown of Glenolden, Pa.; niece Michelle Bilbrough of Aston, Pa.; niece Paula K. Brown of Prospect Park, Pa.; nephew, Richard J. Brown of Cochranvil­le, Pa.; cousin, Mildred Knorr of Newtown Square, Pa.; and several cousins in Berwick, Pa.

There will be a memorial service for Linda on Thursday, August 19th, 2021 at the Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, in Norwood, Pa. 19074. Visitation is from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. followed by a short memorial service at 11 A.M.

Due to current conditions, face coverings are requested to be worn that day in the funeral home.

Please no flowers. Linda’s friends and relatives were incredibly generous with memorial donations following Linda’s passing.
