Bandurick helps Swarthmore end skid vs. Haverford

The Swarthmore women’s basketball team ended a nearly seven-year losing streak to Haverford with a 55-45 victory Tuesday.

Dana Bandurick finished with 26 points, 13 rebounds, four steals, four blocks and three assists for the Garnet, who had last beaten their Centennial Conference rival on Feb. 21, 2015.

Cortlyn Morris paced the Fords with 17 points, and Ally Landau chipped in 12.

NEUMANN 58, LANCASTER BIBLE 45 » Tierra Harris (13 points), Lauren Klieber (12) and Terea Hunt (11) buoyed a balanced offensive attack by the Knights (3-5), who pulled away with a 12-0 run to end the third quarter.

PSU-BRANDYWINE 48, PSUWILKES-BARRE 44 » Amanda Floyd (Interboro) produced a team-high 14 points to go with eight rebounds and three steals for Brandywine (2-2). Sierra Diawara (Interboro) tossed in 13 points, while Ameila Brooks (Springfiel­d) had nine points and 12 boards.

DREXEL 67, DARTMOUTH 44

Hannah Nihill had four assists, including the 390th of her career to move into fifth place all-time in Dragons history. The two-time Daily Times Player of the Year and Cardinal O’Hara also posted 10 points and six rebounds.

Keishana Washington led all scorers with 18 points, 13 of them in the third period, and connected on four 3-point field goals for Drexel (5-2) LASALLE 63, PENN 47 » Molly Mascianton­io, an Archbishop Carroll All-Delco, totaled nine points and six assists for the Explorers (43). Kayla Spruill registered 17 points and nine rebounds in the winning effort.

Mandy McGurk, an Academy of Notre Dame All-Delco, contribute­d eight points, six rebounds and three steals for the Quakers (4-3).

TEMPLE 47, GEORGETOWN 45 » The Owls drained four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter en route to erasing an 11-point deficit.

Caranda Perena had three triples in the final period. Mia Davis recorded 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Anuya Gourdine ended with eight points and seven boards.

Men’s Basketball

Michael Caprise scored 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field and hauled in 13 rebounds as No. 18 Swarthmore trounced Haverford, 81-50, in Centennial Conference action.

George Visconti managed 12 points and Sun Valley All-Delco Vinny DeAngelo produced 11 points and four rebounds for the Garnet (5-2).

Gabriel Franklin led the

Fords (4-3) with 13 points and six rebounds. Josh Love added 12 points, and Harry Johnson had 10.
