Sarah R. Whirlow (nee Reynolds) a longtime resident of Upper Chichester, age 84, passed away peacefully the morning of June 11, 2022. She grew up in Marcus Hook before moving to the Boothwyn section of Upper Chichester in 1977.

Mrs. Whirlow was a graduate of Ridley Park High School and her career consisted of being an employee of DuPont

Inc. and being a librarian for several schools before becoming Director of Activities for Chester Care Center in Upland, PA.

Mrs. Whirlow was an active member with the Chichester Seniors and enjoyed going on numerous trips with them. She was also a passionate member of the Disney Vacation Club. Mrs. Whirlow enjoyed travelling, especially to Disney World, where she got to see her longtime friend, Dottie Smith, who she considered to be another daughter. She also was known for being a big collector of Disney memorabili­a. Most of all, Mrs. Whirlow loved spending time with her family. She was a devoted and loving grandmothe­r who enjoyed the time she spent with them.

Mrs. Whirlow was the daughter of the late Walter and Lillian (Grehawick) Reynolds. She was predecease­d by her husband of 54 years Norman E.

Whirlow and her Daughter Debbie Lock. She was also predecease­d by her two sisters Lillian and Doris.

Survivors: Her son Steven R. Whirlow (Jennifer Hess), her son in law William Lock Jr. her grandchild­ren William Lock III, Matthew Lock, Ryan Lock (Nicole) and Tommy Travers and her daughter Karen Travers (Thomas).

Visitation: Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 10:00am - 11:00am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston, PA 19014. Funeral Service: Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:00am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery Aston, PA.
