LANSDOWNE » Vinyl Revival — Delaware County’s home for new and vintage vinyl records, accessories with rock ‘n’ roll style, and music-themed events — announced that it has relocated to 26 N. Lansdowne Ave., Lansdowne.

It’s celebrating with a grand reopening and ribbon cutting for the community at the new store on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m.

Representatives from Lansdowne Borough Council, the Lansdowne Business & Professional Association, Lansdowne Economic Development Corp. and other special guests will attend.

Vinyl Revival will be offering sales, promotions, and door prizes all day long to introduce new customers to the store and thank loyal fans already familiar with the unique shopping destination. Shoppers can also enjoy music, light refreshments and drinks in celebration all day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Previously located next to the historic Lansdowne Theater at 35-37 N. Lansdowne Ave., the retail shop has been owned and operated since 2013 by longtime Delaware County resident Andrea DiFabio.

“As we begin our 10th anniversary year, I’m excited about the expansion of our store and that we can continue calling Lansdowne home,” said DiFabio. “It’s not your ordinary record store. I look forward to offering unique music-themed merchandise and hosting in-store events, in addition to acting as a community gathering place for people who love their music on a physical format.”

The larger space at 26 N. Lansdowne allows for an expansion of the product line. Look for a wider selection of new vinyl, posters, and T-shirts; a new line of children’s clothing that includes tie-dye onesies and baby gear; custom cups and tumblers with musical themes by @sorelle.custom.designs; clothing by Leah’s Lovelee Boutique; and more local art.

Located in Lansdowne’s Central Business District, Vinyl Revival is open Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m., Thursday and Friday 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking is available in the municipal lot adjacent to the store.

Overbrook Church holds community wellness fair

All are welcome to a Community Wellness Fair Monday, Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Overbrook Presbyterian Church at City and Lancaster avenues.

Free cancer screenings, COVID and flu vaccines, blood pressure and diabetes testing will be offered by health provider partners from Penn Abramson Cancer Center, Drexel Medicine, Nemours Children’s Hospital and Mainline Health.

The idea for the Community Wellness Fair was born out of concern for the rising incidents of cancer, heart disease and injuries that went undiagnosed or untreated during the COVID pandemic.

The church community was not immune to the impact of pandemic isolation on personal health and well-being. Each Sunday, escalating prayer requests documented the needs, and ultimately gave rise to the idea for the wellness fair.

A free lunch will be offered 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information: 215-8772744.
