Season lineup of Friday Night Live series announced

NETHER PROVIDENCE » The Community Arts Center, 414 Plush Mill Road, Wallingford, recently announced the lineup for the winter/spring season of its live music series, Friday Night Live.
The season kicks with its first event Friday, Feb. 24 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in the historic 1892 CAC Ballroom featuring Parlour Noir.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for seating. The band will perform two sets with a brief intermission.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own food and beverages. All ages are welcome.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult and guests must be 21 to bring or consume alcohol. Indoor, single person restrooms will be available during the event. No pets are permitted on the property.
Additional events in the winter/spring season include:
• Friday, March 24, local vocalist Lisa Chavous Women’s Music Month Concert featuring R&B, Jazz and Blues
• Friday, May 20, the Inca Band Santana Tribute, featuring the music of Santana.
Tickets cost $15 or $10 for Community Arts Center members and free to CAC benefactors. Children 12 and under cost $5. Advance ticketing is strongly recommended.

Main Line Today Restaurant Week returns with over 40 restaurants, new celebrity chefs
Main Line Today and Today Media announce the return of Main Line Today Restaurant Week, running from Sunday, Feb. 26 to Saturday, March 11. The 14day culinary celebration brings together the talents of top chefs, restaurants and purveyors in Delaware, Chester and Montgomery counties.
More than 40 restaurants — the most ever — have signed up, including newcomers Twenty One Pips, White Dog, Buena Onda and The Pullman Restaurant & Bar.
The roster also includes the most celebrated names in the region, including Autograph Brasserie, Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse, Lola’s Garden, Pizzeria Vetri Devon, Savona, Stove and Tap, Terrain Cafe, The Refectory and more.
Participating restaurants will offer special three-course or fourcourse prix fixe menus with expanded price points to showcase the diversity of the Main Line dining scene.
For lunch look for $25, $30 or $35 menus, plus beverage, tax and gratuity; or for dinner look for $30, $45 or $55 menus, plus beverage, tax and gratuity.
Restaurants can choose what works best for them, offering lunch, dinner, or both: dine-in or takeout.
Foodies from across the tristate area are invited to save the date, make their reservations, and come hungry.

Chadds Ford Elementary School to present 74th annual art show and sale
Chadds Ford Elementary School will present its 74th Annual Art Show and Sale on Friday, March 17, from 7 to 10 p.m., for an adults-only opening night, as well as a family-friendly day on Saturday, March 18, from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
The time-honored, volunteerrun event at Chadds Ford Elementary School has no admission fee.
This year’s featured artist is Stephen Brehm, and the donating artist is Steven Oliver.
The event will showcase close to 70 local and regional artists’ work in an array of mediums, across palates and price points.
There will be many new artists who are new to the show this year, with close to 20% of this year’s artists showing there for the first time. Patrons may purchase artwork as well as artisans’ jewelry, wooden items, glass designs, and much more.
Chadds Ford Art Show and Sale offers the unique opportunity to meet the artists and discuss their work on both days of the show. The event will feature the everpopular raffle table of items donated by local businesses and families.
The late Betsy Wyeth, wife of the late Andrew Wyeth, founded the Chadds Ford Art Show and Sale in 1949 and remained involved while their sons, Jamie and Nicholas Wyeth, were students at Chadds Ford Elementary.
The annual event continues to serve as the school’s largest annual fundraiser.

League of Women Voters to hold lunch with County Council
The League of Women Voters of Delaware County, which consists of LWV of Radnor Township and LWV of Central Delaware County, will hold a lunch and discussion with Delaware County Council plus other members of county government on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at noon at the Springfield Country
Club, 440 W. Sproul Road, Springfield.
Cost is $40. Choose from one of these entrees: chicken marsala, tilapia with lemon butter, penne with grilled vegetables.
The League of Women Voters’ special member event is a chance to meet with council members in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and talk about issues that affect the county. The League traditionally hosts the luncheon with the council each February to celebrate its birthday and to learn more about what the county will be doing in the coming year.
On Feb. 14, the League of Women Voters marked its 103rd birthday, a time for members to rededicate themselves to their mission: Empowering Voters. Defending Democracy.

Lansdowne Library holds art raffle
The Lansdowne Public Library is having a new art fundraiser.
Local artists have donated art work to the library. Art lovers can purchase tickets for a chance to win the pieces.
Tickets cost $5 or five for $20. Winners will be selected every month.

Kearney, Curry to host Annual Black and Diverse Business Forum
State Sen. Tim Kearney, a Delaware County Democrat, in part
nership with state Rep. Gina H. Curry, also a Delaware County Democrat, will host Black & Diverse Business Forum, a networking event, Saturday, Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. to noon at Delaware County Community College, 901 S. Media Line Road, Media.
Local entrepreneurs and small business owners of color are invited to come out to the event and learn about small business resources, and different ways to grow a business, including how to get started, how to get certified, how to grow a business, how to access capital and how to connect with companies interested in contracting with diverse businesses
Attendees will hear a keynote address from Kerry Kirkland, deputy secretary of diversity, inclusion, and small business opportunities for the Department of General Services.
Guests will also hear about business opportunities from leaders across Southeastern Pennsylvania, including representatives from the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, Amtrak, SCORE Resources, the African American Chamber of Commerce, Widener University’s Small Business Development Center, Eastern Minority Development Council, Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, Entrepreneur Works, Women’s Business Enterprise Center and more.
