Eastern runs away from York in conference quarterfin­als

Draig Cooley filled up the stat sheet, and Zubair Lee keyed a 14-2 run midway through the second half as Eastern pulled away for a 70-64 win over York in a MAC Commonweal­th semifinal.

Cooley had a massive game, with 13 points, 15 rebounds, six assists and four blocks. Lee scored six of his nine points in the run that gave the Eagles (18-8) control. Kevin Reeves (Cardinal O’Hara) added 15 points in 16 minutes off the bench. Sam Gallardo and Jaron Fairweathe­r scored 12 each.

Mighty Macs to a win in the America East Quarterfin­als.

Aquil Stewart led Cabrini with 24 points. Ryan Byars chipped in 14 points and four assists.

Ella Gordon hit six 3-pointers in a 24-point effort as Cabrini handled Marywood, 80-58, in the Atlantic East quarterfin­als Monday night.

Miranda Liebtag contribute­d 14 points, seven rebounds and five steals. Abby Paolini dished seven assists to go with her 13 points for the third-seeded Cavaliers (13-13).

Jordan D’Ambrosio poured in 22 points as the Pride (11-15) advanced to the MAC Commonweal­th semifinals.

Marry McFillin scored 10 points, and Mia Robbins added nine points and 11 boards for the Pride, who take on top-seeded Messiah on Wednesday.

Morgan Falcone (Garnet Valley) scored 10 points to go with four steals as Immaculata eliminated the fifth-seeded Knights from the Atlantic East quarterfin­als.

Lauren Klieber led all with 24 points and 12 rebounds for the Knights (1313). Terea Hunt chipped in 12 points and nine boards.
