Catalytic converter thefts pile up, medication­s stolen at Kindred

Theft: Kindred Hospital in the 2000block of Old West Chester Pike: The director reported prescripti­on medication was stolen. No amount was given.

May 22

Theft: Westgate Hills Rehabilita­tion at 2000block of Old West Chester Pike: At 2p.m. a resident reported $100missing from her purse. A second resident reported $170missing from his wallet.

Theft: 300block of Crescent

Hill Drive: Two unlocked vehicles were entered. Loose change was stolen. Attempted theft: Greenbriar Lane: Numerous vehicles entered. Nothing reported missing.

Identity Theft: 500block of Panmure Road: Someone used the victim’s identity to open a Direct TV account.

Arrest: 44-year-old Exton woman charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug parapherna­lia at Giant.

Avenue: Vehicle window was smashed. Drumsticks and a messenger bag containing a Chromebook was stolen.

Theft: 700block of Cricket Avenue: theft from vehicle. Two juveniles were observed entering cars. The witness provided police with a descriptio­n and they were able to locate the two suspects on the SEPTA bus route service road.

Fraud: 600block of Fox Fields Road: Victim was notified by her bank that someone attempted to fraudulent­ly cash a check.

Fraud: 200block of Strathmore Road: Victim reported that she sent $636through Zelle to purchase concert tickets but never received the tickets.

Possession: 18-year-old Havertown man charged with possession of marijuana and drug parapherna­lia in the 400 block of Rittenhous­e Circle. Identity theft: 2700block of Belmont Avenue: Victim reported that someone used her identity to file a tax return.

Theft: 300block East Golf View Road: Catalytic converter stolen.

Fraud: 1700block Earlington Road: Victim reported several unauthoriz­ed transactio­ns with her credit card.

Fraud: 200block East Marthart Avenue: Victim reported unauthoriz­ed purchase on his credit card.

Identity theft: 200block Merrybrook Drive: Someone opened a Boscov’s credit card account using the victim’s identity.

Retail theft: Giant, Township Line Road. Two females stole $948in goods.

Identity theft: 900block of Darby Road: Victim reported that someone used his identity to open a credit card account.

Fraud: 1200block of Manor Road: Victim reported two unauthoriz­ed purchases on his credit card.

Identity theft: 100block of Woodbine Road: Somone used the victim’s identity to open a Bank of America account.

Retail theft: Giant, Township Line Road: Employee reported

This man entered the Kohl’s department store at 250

West Chester Pike in Havertown and proceeded to the shoe department where he selected a pair of Nike Air Max sneakers valued at $90. He passed all points of sale and left the store with the shoes without rendering payment, police said. The male left the area in a gray 2004Chevro­let Avalanche with a plate number of ZVP8125. Fraud: 700block of Rugby Road: Victim received an email from someone claiming to be from PayPal in reference to a $396balance. They advised him to purchase $1,996worth of gift cards. The victim recognized the scam after sending

the gift card informatio­n.

Theft: Haverford Hills, Glendale Road: Catalytic converters stolen from two vehicles. Identity theft: First block of Decatur Road: Victim reported that someone used her identity to open an AT&T account.

Theft: 200block of Wendover Drive: Catalytic converter stolen.

Attempted theft: 1400block of Robinson Avenue: Resident reported that someone attempted to steal the catalytic converter from his vehicle. His dog began to bark and the suspects fled.

Fraud: 600block of Overhill Road: Victim reported that someone used his identity to take out a loan for $48,999to purchase a car.

Attempted motor vehicle theft: 400block of Darby Road.

Attempted motor vehicle theft: First block West Mercer Avenue.

Fraud: First block Dartmouth Lane: Victim reported that he was contacted by someone claiming to be from Etrade securities. He granted them access to his account and they removed $37,800from his account.

Burglary: Eagle Pizza, 2300Haverf­ord Road: Forced entry by smashing the glass door. $300 stolen from the cash register.

Identity theft: 1800block of Robinson Avenue: Victim reported that someone used his identity to open an AT&T account.

Theft: 200block of Lee Circle: Catalytic converter stolen.

Fraud: 100block of Ellis Road: Victim reported that someone accessed his credit card account and cashed in the reward points.
