Joseph Horning

Joseph Horning, 81, of Lafayette Hill formerly of Morton, PA passed away peacefully on June 25, 2023.

Joe was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Kelly) Horning and was born in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from West Catholic High School.

Joe was a proud veteran, who served 4 years in the Air Force and then went on to have his career with American Airlines. He was a devoted Catholic. Raising his family, he was part of St. Alice Parish in Upper Darby and later in life he moved to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Morton.

He enjoyed all things Notre Dame, anything that involved being part of the West Catholic community, fundraising for them or anyone that needed a helping hand. He loved being down the shore in his favorite place of North Wildwood, especially his favorite time of year, Burrs at the Beach. Joe loved being a part of the Mummers. He loved Philly sports, especially the Phillies, and loved being with his family, grandchildren and friends.

Beloved husband of the late Patricia (Newton); Loving Father of Shayne (Frank) Facciolo and Kevin Horning; Cherished Pop-Pop to Frankie and Vivianna. Loving and long time friend to Kathleen. Also survived by his siblings, Elizabeth (Dennis), Carol (the late Dennis), Kathleen (Dennis) and Therese. He is predeceased by his siblings who passed on before him, Bill, Charlie (Sally) and Mary. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and many, many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Friday, June 30, 2023 10am, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2130 Franklin Ave. Morton, PA 19070, and to his Funeral Mass, Friday 12pm in the Church. Int. Arlington Cemetery.
