The Rotary Foundation of Media is officially kicking off sales for chances in its annual Whiskey Raffle.

The raffle consists of six prizes of outstanding and hard-to-get whiskies with Pappy Van Winkle 15-yearold bourbon as the grand prize.

Tickets are $40 each or three for $100. Raffle participants do not have to be present to win and everyone is encouraged to purchase chances to support the Rotary. This year it is possible for those who want to purchase chances to use Venmo for their purchase.

The whiskies for the sixth prize are E.H. Taylor and Weller’s bourbon; Yamazaki 100th single malt 12 year old scotch for fifth prize; Midsummers Night Dram Rye whiskey for fourth; Blanton’s and Eagle Rare bourbon for third; Glenfarclas 25-year-old single malt Scotch for the second place prize, and Pappy Van Winkle for first prize.

The drawing will be held

at Margaret Kuo’s Kitchen at the Promenade at Granite Run on Wednesday, April 24 with dinner at 6:15 p.m. and the drawing, both live and on Zoom, at 7:15 p.m.

There will also be door prizes for those who have purchased at least one raffle chance and are attending

the live event, which is $50 per person and includes dinner.

All proceeds from the raffle will underwrite local and international community projects. This past year, the foundation has provided funds for an electrocardiogram machine for Pennsylvania Institute of Technology; the Media Food Bank; the Media Arts Council; museum passes for the Media-Upper Providence Free Library and other community causes.

Internationally, the foundation matched funds from the club and individual members to contribute to Shelter Box for Palestinian refugees and to support cleft lip/palate surgery through Rotoplast. All contributions to the Rotary Foundation of Media makes these and other projects possible.
