MARCH 3

DUI: At 7:45 p.m., troopers responded to a single-vehicle accident in which a 2024 Toyota Camry struck a concrete median divider on Baltimore Pike near Wawa Road in Chester Heights. The driver, a 30-year-old Newtown Square man was taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center and later charged with driving under the influence.

MARCH 1 DUI:

At 12:27 a.m., troopers charged a 20-year-old Brookhaven man operating a 2007 Lincoln while under the influence and marijuana possession and vehicle code violations in the 600 block of 11th Street Chester.

FEB. 28

DUI: Troopers stopped a 2010 Volvo for traffic violations on Interstate 95north in Chester at 12:38 a.m. It was determined the operator, a 31-year-old male from Chester was driving under the influence.

FEB. 25

Possession: Just before 2 p.m., troopers stopped a vehicle traveling 69 mph on Interstate 95 south in Ridley Township. The vehicle was stopped and through investigat­ion a 34-year-old male passenger from Philadelph­ia, was in possession of drugs and drug parapherna­lia.

Harassment: Troopers were called to Granite Farms Estates retirement community on Baltimore Pike in Middletown for an elderly resident who was making harassing statements toward a 51-year-old employee.

DUI: Troopers investigat­ing a crash on Interstate 95south involving a 2010 Dodge and a Prius in Ridley found a 52-year-old Pottstown woman to have been under the influence of a controlled substance.

FEB. 13

Scammed: A 50-year-old Atwarer Road, Chadds Ford, woman was scammed out of $25,500worth of Bitcoin. Troopers are investigat­ing.

DUI: Troopers responded at 5:53 p.m. for a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 95n in Upper Chichester. A 32-year-old Bear, Del., woman was charged with driving under the influence.

Endangerin­g children:

At 8:27 p.m., troopers responded to a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 95north in Chester Township. One operator, Louis Jonasz, 59, of Monroevill­e, New Jersey, was charged with driving under the influence and endangerin­g the welfare of children.

FEB. 8

Marijuana: Just before 8a.m., troopers were dispatched to the County Alternativ­e School on South New Middletown Road in Middletown for a student who brought marijuana to class. The 16-year-old male from Upper Darby was placed into custody and later turned over to his legal guardian.

FEB. 7 Drugs:

At 12:23 a.m., troopers stopped a 2007Chevro­let Malibu on Interstate 95north in Upper Chichester. The operator, Linwood Payne, 52, Wilmington, had an active warrant, was in possession of drugs and in possession of synthetic urine. He was arrested and turned over to the Chester County Sheriff’s Department.

Firearm violation: Just before 11p.m., troopers stopped a white Ford Taurus for traffic violations on Interstate 476in Nether Providence. The driver, Michad Fergerson, 30, Philadelph­ia, was wanted on a firearm offense in Upper Chichester. During the stop, a pistol was found and he was charged on felony firearm offenses.

JAN. 29

DUI: Troopers stopped a 2017 Chevrolet Impala at 4:30 a.m. on Interstate 476north in Marple. The driver, a 25-year-old Philadelph­ia man, was found to be driving under the influence.

Retail theft: At 6:35p.m., troopers responded to the Acme in Granite Run for the theft of $35in groceries.

JAN. 21

DUI: At 8:52 p.m., troopers responded to Interstate 95north in Upper Chichester for a vehicle that slid off the road at mile marker 1.3 into the grass. The driver, a 46-year-old male from Philadelph­ia, was found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

JAN. 12

Retail theft: At 6:53 p.m. Troopers responded to Lululemon for a retail theft. A 27-year-old Wilmington woman was found to have hidden a pair of $118 leggings in her shoulder bag.

JAN. 4

Fleeing: At 11 a.m., troopers attempted to stop a white Chrysler 300with temporary New Jersey tags on West Chester Pike and

Campus Boulevard in Newtown Township. The vehicle pulled over then fled when troopers walked up to the car. After a brief pursuit by PSP and local police, pursuit was ended.

DEC. 22

DUI: At 12:42 a.m., troopers stopped a 2018Infini­ti at West Chester Pike and Eagle Road in Haverford for traffic violations. The operator, a 31-year-old male from Philadelph­ia, was found to be DUI.

DEC. 20

DUI: At 5:40 p.m., troopers responded to the Wawa along Naamans Creek Road. A 65-year-old Glen Mills man was charged with driving under the influence.

DEC. 2

DUI: Troopers stopped a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu on Harrah’s Boulevard in Chester for multiple traffic violations. The operator, a 27-year-old Norwood woman, was found to be under the influence and was arrested.

DEC. 1

Retail theft: Just after 3p.m., troopers responded to the Wawa in the 1000block of West Baltimore Pike in Middletown. A couple and a small child took a salad, 2 cappuccino­s, Chapstick and candy totaling $20 before fleeing.
