Fortune has just released its “Best Companies to Work For” list of 2024.

And lo and behold, several in Pennsylvania have made it onto the list.

The Fortune list took note of things like the percentage of women that work at these companies as well as minorities, plus paternity and maternity leave. Job openings and whether or not they pay their workers for volunteering days were metrics that were considered, too.

The following companies in Pennsylvania were mentioned on the final list: Comcast NBCUniversal (which ranked 10th overall); Power Home Remodeling (14th); SAP America (47th); and Sheetz (60th). Each are based out of Philadelphia, Chester, Newtown Square and Altoona, respectively.

Sheetz is no stranger to this list, as a press release from the company notes its the ninth year in a row its been mentioned, making for an almost full decade of recognition for being a great environment for workers.

“As a family-owned and operated company, our priority is ensure our employees know we appreciate and value them,” says president and CEO of Sheetz, Travis Sheetz. “Our team members are the face of our company in every community we serve.

“They represent what makes this company great and we are committed to offering them sustainable careers built on an inspiring culture and community engagement.”

“When people ask about what sets the Best Companies apart from their competitors, it’s one key ingredient: trust,” adds Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work. “When employees trust their leaders, their colleagues, and the organization, they become empower to reach their full potential.”
