2 Coldwell Banker Heritage offices merge

NewWashing­ton Twp. location will house 65 in leased office space.

Coldwell BankerHeri­tage is consolidat­ing two of its offices into a new Washington Twp. location that will allow it to grow in its 50th year as a company.

The firm will close two of its offices near the Dayton Mall and in Centervill­e when the leases run out, and willmove into a new 10,000-square-feet office being built out in the Galleria Building at 8534 Yankee St.

The 64,000-square-foot buildingwi­ll be renamed the Coldwell Banker Building and will hold 65 Coldwell Banker employees in the leased office space, according to Ron Sweeney, managing partner.

“Themove will allowus to grow more agents, give our existing agents anofficeth­at better fits their needs allwhile taking care of our clients’ needs, “Sweeney said.

Coldwell Banker Heritage has 365 agents in the Dayton area in nine sales offices, the most the company has had in its 50 years. Sweeney said he believes that number will grow.

“The past two years have been some of the best for the company. If we can get more inventory in the market, I expect our growth to continue,” Sweeney said.

The amount of active listings for sale in theMultipl­e Listing Service at month’s end stood at 4,091, downfromth­e 5,516 active listings thatwere available last year at the same time, according to the Dayton Area Board of Realtors.

ColdwellBa­nkerHerita­ge, which saw sales increase by 12 percent in 2016, will move into theWashing­ton Twp. office in September, Sweeney said. He said once they move in, the building will have less than 5,000 square feet of empty office space.

Headquarte­red at 4060 Executive Drive in Dayton, Coldwell Banker Heritage was started in 1967 as Heritage Realtors. The company franchised with Coldwell Banker in 1996.

Sweeney said homes sales continue to remain hot in the Dayton area. The Dayton Area Board of Realtors reported therewere 834 home sales in January, a 1.71 percent increase over the previous year in the same month.

Statewide, home sales reached a best-ever mark in January, increasing 1.3 percent from the level posted in January a year ago, according to the Ohio Associatio­n of Realtors.
