Premier Health has consolidated its primary care and specialty practices under a new name, Premier Physician Network, which consists of more than 600 physicians and advanced practice providers at more than 120 practices throughout southwest Ohio, the Dayton-based health system announced Friday.

The practices formerly operated as two separate entities, Premier HealthNet and Premier Health Specialists. Uniting the groups is intended to transform provider practices into a single high-performing, and clinically integrated model of care, according to a statement from the company.

“Premier Health is committed to delivering health care to our community in a way that places the patient first,” said Dr. Lou Ralofsky, president of Premier Physician Network.

“Premier Physician Network will enable us to leverage our people, our processes and our technology to create an innovative care delivery model across our physician network.”

Ralofsky emphasized that current Premier HealthNet and Premier Health Specialists patients will not experience any major changes to their care from current providers.

“Logistical details — such as a provider’s location and phone number – will remain the same,” Ralofsky said.

“However, patients may notice positive changes over time in how their coordinated care is carried out among primary care and specialty physicians.”
