Savage has accrued 25 years of experience in the quality field, both domestically and internationally, including marketing communications and research, product planning and launch, and sales and operations management. Her background also includes continuous improvement, statistical process control, Deming management methods, culture development, strategic planning and professional management.
As a guest facilitator for the nonprofit Aileron, she shares her experiences with entrepreneurs and business leaders who help small privately held businesses succeed by implementing professional management methods. She currently serves on for-profit and not-for-profit boards, including the Board of Trustees for Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley.

In the category of Elements of Advertising Photography Campaign, The Bricks Agency was recognized for two of its entries with a for each. One project was part of an environment photo shoot for an international medical sterilization company. The other was a product shoot for another medical supplier, Dayton-based, Innovative Sterilization Technologies.

Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith visited on March 7 to present the group with his
Foodtown Trotwood
for dedication to accurate pricing and its long-standing commitment to the Trotwood area.
Keith presents the Excellence in Scanning Award annually to a local business that demonstrates a commitment to accurate pricing. His inspectors perform price verifications each year at local retailers to confirm posted item prices match prices at the checkout.
Trotwood Foodtown received a perfect score on its check this past year and has received a perfect result every year since the retailer’s inspections began in 2005, which is no small feat, according to Keith.

has joined its company as a field sales manager. Kaplun brings to MIT over 12 years of material-handling experience servicing the greater Dayton and most recently Houston areas.

Kaplun Kevin Cheryl Kennison
has been named network director of marketing and communications for Kettering Health Network. In this role, she will lead an in-house marketing and communications team that provides creative, strategic messaging to achieve the network’s market development and communication goals.
Kennison most recently served as the director of annual giving for the Kettering Medical Center Foundation. Prior to that, she was facilities marketing manager in Network Marketing where she worked directly with senior hospital executives in meeting the daily marketing and communication needs of network facilities and foundations.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Union College in Lincoln, Neb.
The American Heart Association (AHA) Great Rivers Affiliate has promoted
Beth Langefels
to the position of senior director of marketing and communications.
Langefels has been an employee of the American Heart Association for nearly 11 years and has managed communications and marketing efforts for three markets during her tenure: Dayton, Ohio; NW Ohio (Toledo) and Lexington, Kentucky.
In her new role, Langefels will continue to manage the Dayton and Lexington communications/marketing efforts and will supervise communications directors in West Virginia and in Columbus.
A graduate of Ohio University, Langefels holds a bachelor’s degree in creative writing.
Her long career in public relations, communications and marketing includes work for several non-profit organizations in the local area.
