Lee, 38, is being held in jail on a $1 million bond on charges of murder, felonious assault, having weapons while under disability and discharging a firearm near a prohibited premises. Lee is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Thursday.
The Hankinses’ attorneys said the couple have two other children — one with special needs — and pleaded to be released with no bond because they have no criminal records. The judge refused.
Keith Hankins owns a home remodeling business, and Krista Hankins is a paralegal.
The couple who live in northeast Ohio tried to “hinder the discovery, apprehension” of Kara Parisi-King by “communicating false information,” according to a statement of facts filed Tuesday in Dayton Municipal Court. They were apprehended Saturday at 3221 E. Fourth St. in Dayton
Parisi-King was arrested at 10:40 p.m. Saturday at the Red Roof Inn in Fairborn.
Lee is an alleged drug dealer who has twice served federal prison time for gun crimes.
Parisi-King was once the girlfriend of an alleged drug dealer who later was shot to death. In 2013, Parisi-King lived with two other individuals — Marqanthony and Deborah Mooty — who were investigated for possession and trafficking in drugs.
Montgomery County Common Pleas Court records indicate marijuana, heroin and crack were found in plain view at a South Hedges Street residence where she lived with the Mootys.
Parisi-King tried to get back $898 taken from a raid because she said it was money from school loans issued to her via a bank from Sinclair Community College. She said she was an “innocent owner” who didn’t know about the conduct that gave rise to crimes. A judge ruled against her. Krista Hankins’ name was on the lease for that residence.
Marqanthony Mooty, 27, died Sept. 13, 2016, from gunshot wounds suffered days earlier.
