DON’T MISS: “American Race”

-

— We find Charles Barkley’s basketball commentary to be highly dubious at times. Even ridiculous. But how will he do when chatting about sociological issues? In this two-night, four-episode special, Sir Charles travels the country to explore the hotbutton topic of race from different angles and engage in “thoughtful but spirited dialogue” with a diverse cross section of Americans. His goal? To build the kind of mutual understanding that can lead to productive solutions. Talking smack with Shaq sounds a lot easier. 9 p.m. Thursday, TNT.
