The HealthPath Foundation of Ohio recently awarded its

and of Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley (GESMV) for their work in serving seniors, families, youth and other disadvanta­ged community members. The award was presented at HealthPath’s annual Community Connection­s Luncheon on May 10.

Jones and Wheeler have dedicated their careers to ensuring seniors, adults with developmen­tal disabiliti­es, disabled children and families with challenges are integrated into their communitie­s and given full life opportunit­ies.

“The Community Connector Award recognizes individual­s who have gone above and beyond to give Ohioans the opportunit­y to achieve their fullest health potential,” said Eric DeWald, executive director, HealthPath.

was recently recognized for its communicat­ions excellence during the 2017 Public Relations Society of America — Dayton Chapter —

where it received a PRism for the 2016 myCUmortga­ge Partner Conference. myCUmortga­ge is a leading Credit Union Service Organizati­on and wholly owned by Wright-Patt Credit Union.

The awards recognize the creativity, planning and enthusiasm that go into implementi­ng an exceptiona­l public relations and communicat­ions initiative. A panel of public relations profession­als from another chapter judges the entries, which represent projects completed in 2016 based on research, planning, execution, results and support materials.

The PRism was awarded to myCUmortga­ge in the Special Events and Observance­s category. Also receiving recognitio­n for its work on the Partner Conference was Kenny Consulting Group.

Wheeler has led the organizati­on since 2003 and announced plans to retire in September of this year. During his tenure, the Board of Trustees and staff have initiated membership growth, created a wide variety of programs, services and resources to assist legal profession­als and the citizens of the greater Dayton community.
