Russia faces a possibilit­y of being excluded from a second Paralympic­s over its statespons­ored doping scheme. The Internatio­nal Paralympic Committee said it remains unconvince­d Russia has adopted an anti-doping culture and implemente­d the changes required to prove it is cleaning up in time for the 2018 Games.

After a goalkeepin­g blunder by Jonathan Klinsmann, teammate Luca de la Torre scored in injury time to give the United States a 3-3 draw against Ecuador at the Under-20 World Cup in Seoul, South Korea. The Americans next face Senegal on Thursday while Ecuador takes on Saudi Arabia.

Spurs leading scorer Kawhi Leonard was ruled out of Game 4 against the Golden State Warriors on Monday night with host San Antonio on the brink of eliminatio­n.

Golden State led the Western Conference finals 3-0 and had a chance to become the first team in league history to open the playoffs 12-0.

An MVP finalist, Leonard has not played since severely aggravatin­g a sprained left ankle during the third quarter of Game 1 against the Warriors. He initially sprained the ankle in Game 5 of the conference semifinals against Houston.

Entering Monday, Golden State outscored San Antonio by 73 points since Leonard exited Game 1 with 7:52 left in the third quarter with the Spurs leading 78-55.

Spurs reserve forward David Lee, who suffered a torn left patellar tendon in Game 3, also sat out Game 4.

Golden State center Zaza Pachulia was to miss his second straight game with a bruised right heel. Warriors coach Mike Brown said Pachulia’s absence was not determined by the anger Spurs fans have for him.

Pachulia and his family have received death threats on social media from fans who blame him for Leonard’s absence after his close-out in defending a shot, a tactic coach Gregg Popovich called “dangerous” and “unsportsma­nlike.”
