CARRIER ADDS FLIGHTS OUT OF DAYTON
Low-cost airline will be offering the flights on a twice-weekly basis.
Low-cost airline Allegiant Air is adding another nonstop flight at the Dayton International Airport, with fares as low as $49.
Allegiant will begin offering new flights from Dayton to Myrtle Beach, S.C., on Wednesday, with flight reservations available now. The flights will operate twice weekly from the Dayton airport. Flight days, times and lowest fares can be found at the Allegiant website.
“As the weather gets warmer, we are excited to see just how much Dayton travelers have embraced Allegiant,” said Terrence Slaybaugh, director of the Dayton International Airport. “Allegiant offers some incredible options for those who want to get away.”
Allegiant served approximately 4,858 passengers in March at Dayton airport, up from the 3,875 passengers that flew the carrier in February.
That’s up from the 1,472 passengers who flew with Allegiant during its first month of service at Dayton last April.
When Allegiant began its service in Dayton, the only destination options were Orlando and St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Fla. Allegiant has since added flights to several locations including Myrtle Beach, along with the Florida destinations of Tampa, Daytona Beach and Punta Gorda. The airline offers some deals like $49 fares for nonstop flights.
“Dayton has already been a great market for Allegiant thanks in large part to outstanding support from the airport and the community — they are terrific partners,” said Hilarie Grey, director of corporate communications for Allegiant.
