Bailey to make start in Dayton:

Reds right-hander Homer Bailey will make a rehab start for the Dayton Dragons against Great Lakes on Wednesday night at Fifth Third Field.

Bailey, who has been on the disabled list all season after elbow surgery in February, was impressive in a rehab start last week for Double-A Pensacola. He pitched five shutout innings and allowed just three hits vs. the Mississippi Braves. Bailey, 31, is expected to pitch five innings or throw about 80 pitches Wednesday.

Since August 2014, Bailey has made just eight starts. He is 60-54 with a 4.24 ERA in 10 seasons with the Reds.
