AYTON PHYSICIANS NETWORK announces the opening of a pharmacy geared toward enhancing patient convenience and improving clinical outcomes. This new pharmacy, known as Dayton Physicians Pharmacy, is located within the Greater Dayton Cancer Center in Kettering, and offers a full range of services focused on improving the lives of patients receiving care within Dayton Physicians Network. “The pharmacists and technicians within the pharmacy work alongside DPN physicians to ensure each patient receives the highest quality care at the greatest value” according to Joshua Cox, Pharm.D, Director of Pharmacy at Dayton Physicians Network. “Because our pharmacy is integrated into the clinic, we have access to a wealth of patient-specific information, such as labs and other medical records, which allows us to be far more involved in caring for patients than would be expected from a traditional pharmacy. Patients within our Network are frequently prescribed complex and costly medications. It is critical that each of our patients has access to thorough education, ongoing assessment, and the variety of supportive services we offer”, says Cox. Some of the services available to patients include, financial counseling and 24/7 access to medical and pharmacy staff.
