Throughout my years at Dixie High School I have been blessed with many great memories and opportunities that I gladly reflect on. I’m very proud to say that I participated in activities such as softball, band, drama and volleyball, and I’m very grateful for the many friends I’ve made.
Dixie is a very small school within a very small community, and though I may not have gotten all of the experiences larger schools and communities have to offer, I think this town and school have set me up for the most success possible. They helped me develop strong relationships with my peers and I was able to do so much. I know that this will help me when I attend Wright State University in the fall because all of the experiences I’ve had will inspire me to do more, and all of the friends I’ve made will push me to make more connections with people.
I am very grateful for the time I have spent at Dixie, and though I’m sad it’s coming to an end, I will forever remember and cherish all of my memories here and look forward to a bright future. — Hannah Woolery
As a graduating senior, I have had the opportunity to reflect upon my experiences throughout high school and begin to anticipate my future education and career. High school presents many opportunities to broaden our experiences as teenagers and become well-rounded as we prepare to move on to college, and eventually the real world.
Even though my high school and community are small, there have still been many opportunities such as a variety of athletics, clubs, organizations, and extracurricular activities to participate in and use to develop social skills that will become useful in the future.
My favorite memories from high school have stemmed from my participation in these activities as I have had the privilege of meeting people from many backgrounds and engaged in many different experiences. I look forward to having the opportunity to do the same in college as I hope to take advantage of the large variety of clubs and organizations that are offered at universities. I am excited to take my experiences and memories from high school and use them to create even more during my college years.
