Advice for freshmen:

Don’t slack off freshman year. It will wreck your GPA later and there’s nothing you can do to go back and change it later. Volunteer consistent­ly somewhere so you can put it on scholarshi­p applicatio­ns. Also, start drinking coffee.

Seriously, volunteer consistent­ly somewhere. Volunteeri­ng at a bunch of one-time things doesn’t really help when you need a letter of recommenda­tion for a scholarshi­p. Also, don’t procrastin­ate on important stuff like studying for AP tests and filling out scholarshi­p applicatio­ns.
