The Warren County Metropolitan Housing Authority was recognized by Auditor of State Dave Yost with an Auditor of State Award for a clean audit report. The Auditor of State Award is presented to local governments and school districts upon the completion of a financial audit.
The Clearcreek Fire District received a grant award through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. The grant totaled $217,405. The fire district will be responsible for 10 percent of the award under U.S. Department of Homeland Security rules. The grant will assist with purchase of five ambulance power-lift cots.
This year’s grant award marks the eighth time within the past 10 years the Clearcreek Fire District has been awarded significant funding to enhance, improve, and maintain our equipment.
Since 2005, the district has received $2,795,982 in federal grant funding. Assistant Chief Tim Simpson is responsible for writing and managing the grants program.
The award will give emergency responders the ability to help reduce work related injuries and allow them to better serve Clearcreek Township and the City of Springboro. For more information, call 937-748-2766.
