The Big Ten Network will triple its primetime national TV exposure during football season and add more basketball games in the time slot, thanks to new six-year deals with broadcast partners Fox, ABC/ESPN and CBS. The deal is worth a reported $2.64 billion.

Penguins defenseman Brian Dumoulin agreed to a six-year deal that will run through the 2022-23 season and pay him an average of $4.1 million per year . ... The Predators signed forward Austin Watson to a three-year, $3.3 million deal, keeping him under contract through 2019-20 . ... Sabres winger Kyle Okposo said he is fully healthy after a concussion led to sleeping trouble and significant weight loss last March. He missed the final few weeks of last season with a previously undisclosed illness.

NHL: Track and field:

Russia plans to send 19 athletes to the world championships in London next week despite its suspension from international competition for widespread doping. The 19, including three former world champions, have been given exemptions from Russia’s suspension after the IAAF reviewed their history of drug testing.

Andrew Luck’s surgically repaired right shoulder will keep him out for the start of training camp.

How much more time he’ll miss is still unclear.

Colts general manager Chris Ballard said the team’s franchise quarterback would go on the physically unable to perform list when players report to camp Saturday.

“I want to make this very clear: Andrew has not had a setback. This is all part of the process,” Ballard said Monday. “The long-term prognosis is very good and that is very positive.”

Luck, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 draft and the face of the franchise, had surgery in January to repair a partially torn labrum. He did not participate in offseason workouts and the Colts knew all along there was a good chance he would still be recovering during camp.

Ballard said Luck did not start throwing until last week.

The next step, Ballard said, is working on his throwing motion and regaining strength in his right arm.

Still, the Colts have avoided establishing a timeline for when Luck will start taking snaps or whether he would be ready for the Sept. 10 season opener against the Rams.

“I don’t worry about when he plays or where he plays,” Ballard said when asked if Luck needs some preseason action. “Right now, he’s still finishing up rehab.”

Luck was not available Monday because veterans aren’t required to be at the team complex until Saturday.

be charged in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., with sexual assault after prosecutors said hotel video and other evidence aren’t sufficient to prove his accuser’s allegations. A 27-year-old woman accused Irvin of drugging and sexually assaulting her in March.

■ Receiver and kick returner Lucky Whitehead was released after being linked to a shoplifting arrest in his home state of Virginia, but his agent said he believes it was a case of mistaken identity. Police said a 25-year-old Rodney Darnell Whitehead Jr. was arrested June 22 after taking food and drink from a convenience store.

Canadian rugby star Adam Zaruba signed a three-year contract to play tight end. He wasn’t on the field for the start of camp and won’t be able to return until he’s granted a visa.
