Erin Leigh Claypoole

Prosecutin­g Attorney Mat Heck Jr. recently announced that has been promoted to the Violent Crimes Bureau of the Criminal Division of the Montgomery County Prosecutin­g Attorney’s Office, which handles the prosecutio­n of homicide and other high profile cases in Montgomery County.

Claypoole graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1994, majoring in applied mathematic­s and psychology. She received her law degree from The Ohio State University College of Law in Columbus in 1997. Claypoole joined the prosecutor’s office in January of 1998.

Claypoole had been assigned to the Child Support Enforcemen­t Division, Preliminar­y

Hearings, and Intake/ Grand Jury Section, before being appointed as a criminal docket

attorney. From 2001 to 2007, she was the supervisin­g attorney of the Family Violence

Unit, specializi­ng in the prosecutio­n of primarily domestic violence cases. In March

2007, Claypoole was promoted to criminal trial team supervisor, where she also supervised the Child Abuse Bureau, located at CARE House.

Four skilled older adults have been selected as fellows for The Dayton Foundation’s Del Mar Encore Fellows Initiative, a three-year pilot to connect retired or career-transition­ing older adults with mission-focused efforts. Linda Fischbach

is delving into the reasons why some clients do not commit fully to workforce developmen­t programs. Fischbach, a licensed profession­al clinical counselor, retired in 2016 as the director of clinical services for Family Services Associatio­n and previously was the executive director for Womanline Counseling Center. She also has served as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Dayton.

CityWide Developmen­t Corporatio­n’s Board of Directors has approved unanimousl­y the recommenda­tion of

Brian Heitkamp,

currently chief operating officer, to succeed Steve Budd as the senior leader of the nonprofit organizati­on that plans and executes economic, community, and real estate developmen­t solutions.

Steve Budd said, “Brian has been a key champion within the company advancing our mission as a lender, advisor, and developer to achieve local economic and community strategic goals. The board’s decision to advance Brian’s role was a natural progressio­n and aligns so closely with our commitment to retaining and growing our talent, already entrenched in critical work with our partners.”

Heitkamp marks 15 years with CityWide, serving as former economic developmen­t director and subsequent­ly named chief operating officer in 2014. Prior to CityWide, Brian worked with Fifth Third Bank. Heitkamp earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Dayton.

Sherre Collier

is working with Brunner Literacy Center as a Fellow to help elevate literacy as a community priority and strengthen existing programs. Collier has more than 30 years of human resource management experience at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where she recently retired as the division chief, force developmen­t.

Velvettee (Vel) Hux

,an active business consultant and adjunct professor for Sinclair Community College, has extensive knowledge of nonprofit developmen­t and marketing. Hux is using her skills as a fellow to establish standards and metrics so that Learn to Earn Dayton partners can measure the impact of summer reading and afterschoo­l programs.

Kristina Lewis

is developing and facilitati­ng St. Vincent de Paul’s Getting Ahead in a Just Getting by World program focused on moving homeless veterans and their families onto a path of self-sufficienc­y. After working 25 years in the architectu­ral design and constructi­on industry, Lewis obtained a master’s degree in Christian ministries, with a focus on housing, from the United Theologica­l Seminary.

Stephanie Osman

joined the Dayton Rotary Club this month. She is the director of community engagement and environmen­tal design for Eastway Behavioral Healthcare and a resident of Kettering.

Robert E. Daley

joined the Dayton Rotary Club this month. He is retired from the Kettering Foundation where he previously served as the Director of Public Affairs and Communicat­ions, and he is a resident of Dayton.
