Issue 2, prescription drugs topics of Sunday’s WHIO Reports
Town hall on issues to be Oct. 12; early voting starts Oct. 11.
Voters looking to learn more about Issue 2 can hear from both sides on a special edition of WHIO Reports at 11: 30 a.m. today on Channel 7.
You can also listen to the show at 8 a.m. Sunday on AM1290 and News 95.7 WHIO. And look for full coverage of the issue in both Sunday and Monday editions of this newspaper.
The ballot issue has been the focus of expensive TV ad campaigns, with more than $20 million already spent. But voters have expressed confusion over what the law, if passed, would actually do to prescription drug prices in the state.
For the WHIO Reports segment, host Jim Otte and Dayton Daily News reporter Katie Wedell spoke with both supporters and opponents of the proposed state statute, which will appear on the Nov. 7 ballot. Early voting begins Oct. 11.
The Dayton Daily News will also host a free, public town hall on this issue at 7 p.m. Oct. 12 in the Frederick C. Smith Auditorium at Sinclair Community College. Seats are limited, so sign up to attend at Prescriptiondrugissue. eventbrite.com.
Parking is also free for those who register and can show a confirmation slip.
