Flu vaccines offered at walk-in shot clinic

Wright State Physicians Family Medicine is offering influenza vaccinatio­ns at its walk-in flu shot clinic. Flu shots will be offered Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., through Dec. 1, 2017, on the 2nd Floor of the Wright State Physicians Health Center on the campus of Wright State University, 725 University Blvd.

Patients must present a valid photo ID and insurance card at the time of check-in. Most insurance companies cover the influenza vaccine, but a co-pay may be required. Payment is due at the time of check-in for self-pay patients. For self-pay patients, the cost is $30. For more informatio­n, call 937-245-7200.

Wright State Physicians Internal Medicine and Wright State Physicians Obstetrics and Gynecology also are offering flu shots to patients during appointmen­ts. To schedule an appointmen­t with Internal Medicine, call 937-2235350. ambulances and a Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU).

Disney Junior Channel’s Doc McStuffins is the featured guest. The character is a 7-year-old girl who can “fix” toys, with a little help from her stuffed animal friends. A Teddy Bear Clinic will be open during the event. Kids can bring a sick or injured stuffed toy to the clinic to be examined by a doctor.

Stop by the Bicycle Safety Station for safety tips and a chance to win a bike.

The event also features a Health Fair that includes free health screenings and wellness informatio­n. The public can enjoy a picnic-style cookout free of charge.
