9PMon( 26) Valor The CWcertainly has its share of superheroes, but the premiere of this military drama revolves around heroes of a more down-toearth nature. They’re U.S. Army helicopter pilots whose mission to Somaliawent tragically wrong, with the only two returnees (ChristinaOchoa, Matt Barr) keeping certain details quiet. When they learn that one of their comrades (W. Tre Davis) is still alive and being held by terrorists, they start training to go back and retrieve him in this“Pilot.”

Carlos Valdes The Flash 8PMon( 26) The Flash Barry’s (Grant Gustin) absencemeans others have stepped up to try to keep Central City safe as the adventure’s fourth season opens with“The Flash Reborn.” However, a particularly lethal enemywants to reckon with The Flash faceto-face, prompting Cisco (CarlosValdes) to retrieve Barry from the speed force ... but it’s a different Barry who ultimately returns. Candice Patton, Jesse L. Martin and Danielle Panabaker also star.

9PMon( 2)(4) (5) This Is Us Big-name guest stars aren’t the norm for this show, but a couple turn up in the newepisode“DejaVu,”which unfolds partially on the set of thewarmovie Kevin (Justin Hartley) is making. His co-star happens to be Sylvester Stallone— linked to this series through Milo Ventimiglia, who once played Rocky Balboa’s son— and the film’s director is Ron Howard, who had said earlier that hewanted towork with Kevin.

The action picks up immediately following the Season 2 cliffhanger, with Elliot (Rami Malek) somewhat predictably having survived being shot by Tyrell (Martin Wallstrom). Elsewhere, expect some insights into the disintegration between Elliot and Mr. Robot (Christian Slater).

THURSDAY

Jensen Ackles Supernatural 8PMon( 26) Supernatural The number 13 may play into superstition, but it’s ironically lucky for this series. That season begins with“Lost and Found,” which finds Winchester brothers Sam and Dean (Jared Padalecki, JensenAckles) in a particularly tough place. Theirmother, Crowley and Castiel are all gone— and the siblings can’t agree on what to do about newborn Jack. Mary (Samantha Smith) rightfully has big concerns about her survival.

9PMon( 2)(4) (5) Will& Grace Another actor fromthe original series returns, as Harry Connick Jr. reprises the role of Grace’s (DebraMessing) ex-husband Leo in the newepisode “Emergency Contact.” The title describes just what Leo is when he’s summoned by Grace’s doctor instead of Will (Eric McCormack). Jack (Sean Hayes) adaptswell to his new job. Karen (Megan Mullally) makes a new, and young, friend.

Great Performances The new“Grammy Salute to Music Legends 2017” puts spotlights on talents on whom 2017 Special Merit Awardswere bestowed by the Recording Academy. The artists celebrated are Charley Pride, Shirley Caesar, AhmadJamal, Jimmie Rodgers, Nina Simone, Sly Stone and the Velvet Underground. Among those performing in honor of them at NewYork’s Beacon Theatre are Andra Day, Kirk Franklin, Randy Newman, Valerie Simpson, DionneWarwick and Dwight Yoakam.

11:29PMon (2)(4) (5) Saturday Night Live Following the critical acclaim he recently received as a writer and star of the movie “The Big Sick,” Kumail Nanjiani— also of the series“Silicon Valley”— becomes a first-time “SNL” guest host with this newepisode. The musical guest is Pink, performing tunes from her recently released third studio album “Beautiful Trauma.” Emmy winner Kate McKinnon, Kenan Thompson and Cecily Strong are in the regular ensemble cast.
