Meet candidates before coming election
Washington-Centerville Public Library and the League of Women Voters of the Greater Dayton Area are committed to providing the public opportunities to be more informed citizens. As such, the two organizations will jointly present a forum where the public can Meet the Candidates prior to this year’s November election. The forum will be held at Centerville Library, 111 W. Spring Valley Road, on Wednesday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the forum will be moderated by the local League of Women Voters. All candidates running for the following positions have been invited to appear:
1) Centerville City Council; Kettering Municipal Court Judge; Washington Township Trustee; Centerville School Board;
2) Representatives both for and against two statewide ballot initiatives have also been invited to address the audience: Issue 1 (Rights for Crime Victims Amendment) and Issue 2 (Ohio Drug Price Relief Act); and
3) Speakers either for or against local ballot issues including the Montgomery County Health and Human Services Levy Renewal; Sinclair Community College Levy Renewal; City of Centerville and Washington Township Park District Issues.
