Meet candidates before coming election

Washington-Centervill­e Public Library and the League of Women Voters of the Greater Dayton Area are committed to providing the public opportunit­ies to be more informed citizens. As such, the two organizati­ons will jointly present a forum where the public can Meet the Candidates prior to this year’s November election. The forum will be held at Centervill­e Library, 111 W. Spring Valley Road, on Wednesday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the forum will be moderated by the local League of Women Voters. All candidates running for the following positions have been invited to appear:

1) Centervill­e City Council; Kettering Municipal Court Judge; Washington Township Trustee; Centervill­e School Board;

2) Representa­tives both for and against two statewide ballot initiative­s have also been invited to address the audience: Issue 1 (Rights for Crime Victims Amendment) and Issue 2 (Ohio Drug Price Relief Act); and

3) Speakers either for or against local ballot issues including the Montgomery County Health and Human Services Levy Renewal; Sinclair Community College Levy Renewal; City of Centervill­e and Washington Township Park District Issues.
