Early voting begins today
Voters can start voting today in the November election.

Ohio’s prescription drug ballot issue is dominating this election cycle, but State Issue 2 is not the only issue facing voters.
There are hundreds of local races for mayor, city councils, school boards and township trustees. There are also school levies, police levies and countywide tax issues on the ballot.

■ Oct 12: Issue 2 forum: The Dayton Daily News, WHIO TV, WHIO Radio, The League of Women Voters and Sinclair Community College are teaming up for an event to inform you on this important issue before Ohio votes this fall. At 7 p.m. on Thursday in the Smith Auditorium in Building 12 at Sinclair Community College, 444 W. Third St. in downtown Dayton.
We will have representatives from both sides of the issue there to face questions from our reporters including WHIO-TV anchor James Brown, Dayton Daily News reporter Katie Wedell and WHIO Radio’s Brittany Otto.

■ Oct. 16: Dayton School Board forum: The Dayton Daily News, UpDayton and the YWCA are hosting a forum with all eight Dayton School Board candidates at the new library downtown, 215 E. Third St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Organizers said the candidates will be split into two groups of four — one group at 6 p.m. and one at 7 p.m.
■ Oct. 18: Meet the candidates: Meet candidates and elected officials running for public office — mayors, city/ village officials, township officials, school boards, judges — officials from where you live and who impact the local issues you care about.
Event hosted by Home Builders Association, ABC Ohio Valley Chapter and Dayton Area Board of Realtors.
