Flu shots, more at DaVita open house

DaVita, a division of DaVita Inc. and a leading provider of kidney-care services, will host an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. today at its new location, 2808 Germantown St.

The event will provide an opportunit­y for the community to tour the new dialysis center and learn about kidney care services available for local patients.

The Montgomery County Public Health Department will offer flu shots. United Way and CareSource will have booths, along with the Dayton Police and Fire Department. The Fire Department will allow community members to see a fire truck firsthand.

The Dayton Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting at noon with Dayton City Commission­ers Jeffrey Mims and Joey Williams.
