Garbry Museum event scheduled
Upper Valley Career Center environmental occupations students will host the annual Willowbrook Environmental Education Center and Garbry Museum Open House from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 22. The museum is in the center’s Garbry Hall, which is accessed from Looney Road.
This is the one time during the year that artifacts from the J. Scott Garbry Collection can be viewed by the public.
The collection is displayed as a Village Square.
Career center students will demonstrate Early American cooking and have cleared a loop trail around a portion of Willowbrook.
The 180-acre Environmental Learning Lab includes a prairie, along with plant and water habitats.
Guided nature hikes will be conducted up to 2:30 p.m. The event is free.
