Nostalgic Tweed Ride on for Saturday

The Great Miami Valley Tweed Ride will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Riverfront Park, 3 N. Miami Ave.

Free and open to all ages, this slow-paced, flat ride is seven miles round-trip, with the turnaround at Crain’s Run Nature Park, or choose the leisurely four-mile Rice Field jaunt.

“Proper attire” includes newsboy caps, bow ties, bowlers, knickers, wool skirts, handlebar mustaches, anything argyle, anything vintage and all things tweed.

Meet at Riverfront Park for tea and registration, pose for photos on Main Street, ride south on the bike path and return downtown to visit your favorite pub.
