CENTERVILLE EATERY OFFERS PREVIEW WITH CHARITY EVENT
A new Centerville restaurant has set an official opening date, but will also offer a sneak-peek preview day that will allow guests to pay what they choose, with proceeds going to a local charity.
CoreLife Eatery at 5201 Cornerstone North Blvd. — the healthy-alternative restaurant in the Cornerstone of Centerville development — will host its grand opening on Nov. 10. The previous day, Nov. 9, the restaurant will host a “VIP Preview Day” from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in which guests “pay what you choose.”
The entire proceeds will benefit Hannah’s Treasure Chest, the Washington Twp.-based non-profit organization that provides clothing, baby equipment, diapers, hygiene items, toys, books and other essential items for needy families in Butler, Greene, Montgomery, and Warren counties.
The 3,600-square-foot freestanding restaurant will be the first Dayton-area location for the fast-casual restaurant chain that offers what it calls “clean-eating” options. It is located off Wilmington Pike adjacent to Costco Wholesale and Shoppes III at Cornerstone. The new CoreLife Eatery will open with 40 to 45 employees, a CoreLife spokeswoman said.
The CoreLife menu offers create-your-own grain and vegetable bowls, soups, grass-fed chicken and steak, and organic tofu. Customers can create their own “green bowl,” with options like Sriracha ginger roasted tofu, kale Caesar chicken, spicy ginger steak, Mediterranean, and chicken cobb. CoreLife also sells organic cold-brewed iced coffee, green teas and house-made lemonades.
The Centerville restaurant will be the first CoreLife Eatery location in southwest Ohio, and the third location in the state. Another is in the works in the Austin Landing development in Miami Twp. in southern Montgomery County. The restaurant chain operates locations in New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio, including one in Columbus.
The Cornerstone of Centerville development is located near the I-675-Wilmington Pike interchange. The 125-acre mixeduse development is anchored by Costco, Cabela’s and Kroger.
