SUNDAY’S GAME

Browns vs. Vikings at London, 9:30 a.m., Fox, AM 1290, News 95.7 WHIO the ultimate goal.”

Jackson feels comfortable that Kizer learned a lesson.

“My discussion with DeShone was you have to be careful,” said Jackson. “Decisions you make can affect you, and people can see things the wrong way.”

He also believes Kizer will continue to get better and cut down on the league-leading 11 interceptions.

The only other QB in double digits is Cam Newton with 10.

“DeShone is going to grow out of a lot of this,” he said. “He’s working at it. We all saw improvement from him in the first half up until the first turnover. He was doing some really good things and playing well.

“I said this a long time ago, the pressure of playing quar- terback in the National Foot- ball League for 50 plays, 40 plays, first half or whatever that is is sometimes a big task for some men.”

The Browns not only need to start Kizer to develop him, but to help determine if they need to draft a QB in the strong 2018 class. Kizer showed considerable growth early on against the Titans, completing 9 of 11 for 67 yards and a 92.0 rating.

“It’s sometimes a deal between DeShone and DeShone,” said Jackson. “He has to work through this and he is, just like I watched how hard he worked last week to put himself in position to go out there and start the game and play early.

“He just has to make that next jump and take that next step. How fast can we get him there and how fast can he get himself there? I don’t know that at this time.”
