- MARK FISHER

Another newentry into the Dayton area’s robust chicken-restaurant market is poised to open on Miamisburg-CentervilleRoad— and the franchise owner says he plans to open two to four more locations around the region. The new Wingstop restaurant is expected to open at the end of next week at 2006 Miamisburg-Centerville Road (Ohio 725) at I-675, in the east edge of the South Towne Center in Miami Twp.

The restaurant seats 45 and will hire about 20 people, franchise owner Robert Hall told this news outlet. Hall’s son, RyanHall ofBeavercreek, is the restaurant’s general manager. RobertHall said the restaurant is still hiring. Interested applicants can apply on-site.

Wingstop serves a variety of wings, from mild ly spiced to atomic. The lemon-pepper wings and seasoned fresh-cut fries are among customer favorites, Hall said. The newWingstop will have a license to sell beer in bottles. Catering is also available.

Hall said he is looking to open three to five Wingstop locations in the broader Dayton area. The region has been a hotbed of chicken-restaurantcompetition in the last year or two, but Hall is confident.

Founded in 1994, Dallas-based Wingstop opened its 1,000th location this year in Atlanta. It operates multiple restaurants in the Cincinnati and Columbus areas. Wingstop said in a release it sees opportunity to grow to as many as 2,500 locations in the U.S. Last year marked the chain’s 13th consecutive year of positivesame-store growth, company officials said.
