SHOW: The new episode “Santa Monica, California” revisits a violent June 2013 incident in that city that apparently began as a domestic dispute, then accelerated into a house fire. After setting the residence ablaze and fatally shooting two men on the premises, gunman John Zawahri armed himself with a semiautomatic rifle and headed to Santa Monica College, shooting at random human targets along the way. He eventually was fatally shot by police during a standoff with them in the library of that campus.
