3 teens sexually assaulted, robbed

-

A Cleveland man is accused of raping three teenage girls at gunpoint and robbing them at an RTA rapid station on the city’s East Side.

Deon Dre Bonner, 33, is charged with rape, kidnapping and aggravated robbery in the Saturday incident at the RTA stop at East 116th Street and Shaker Boulevard, according to police and court records.

He is being held in the Cleveland City Jail on $200,000 bond after his first court appearance on Tuesday.

Bonner met the three girls — ages 18, 17 and 17 — about 11:45 a.m. on the platform of the RTA stop, according to court records. He forced them off the platform at gunpoint, and threatened to shoot them, court records say.

He held his gun to their heads and raped all three multiple times, court records say. He stole their purses, cellphones and wallets before he ran off, court records say.

The teens told police that the man was wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers hat.

Bonner was wearing a Cavs hat and had the girls’ three pink cellphones when officers found him hiding near the St. Luke’s Manor apartment complex, about a block away from the rapid stop, records say.

Officers also found a gun across the street from the rapid station. Investigators believe the gun was used in the rape and robbery, records say.

All three girls identified Bonner as their attacker, records say. He was shaking uncontrollably when he was arrested, records say.

Bonner’s criminal history includes a 2015 conviction for being high on PCP, walking around the same rapid station with his pants around his ankles and shouting incoherently at passing cars, court records show.

He was sentenced to probation, which he violated by smoking PCP, and was sentenced to two months in jail, records show.

Bonner was also previously convicted for attempted carrying concealed weapons and obstructing justice.
