$65M IN BRIDGE PROJECTS IN DAYTON NEAR THEIR END

-

With the opening of the Webster Street Bridge this month, Dayton has finished the 10th of 11 bridge replacement projects.

The project’s origins started in 1999, when the city recognized many of its bridges were close to 75 years old and needed replacement. The first in the $64.6 million project to finish was the Findlay Street Bridge over the Mad River, which opened in May 2006.

In more than 11 years since, nine other new bridges have opened, transforming the over-river transportation in Dayton.
