7 and Ch. 12: A CIA agent becomes the captive of terrorists, giving Jason (David Boreanaz) and his allies their next mission in the new episode “Borderline­s.” Clay (Max Thieriot) faces his last test to qualify for Tier One. C. Thomas Howell reprises his guest role as Clay’s estranged father, and Pell James and Doug Savant also guest star. Jessica Pare and A.J. Buckley also star.

48: A continuati­on of last year’s program “A Year in Space,” this new special begins with Commander Scott Kelly’s return to Earth after 12 months aboard the Internatio­nal Space Station. Along with his fellow astronaut twin brother Mark, he participat­ed in post-mission medical tests to help NASA determine the effects of long-duration space travel. Two more astronauts preparing for such an assignment also are profiled during the hour. Dynasty, 9 PM on Ch. 26: Blake (Grant Show) isn’t sure what to do about Cristal’s (Nathalie Kelley) houseguest, while Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) is sure of exactly what she wants, in the new episode “I Only Exist for Me.” Sammy Jo’s (Rafael de la Fuente) babysittin­g mission goes awry. James Mackay, Alan Dale, Robert C. Riley and Sam Adegoke also star. Iron Chef Showdown, 9 PM on FOOD; 12 AM on FOOD: A fan favorite, Michael Symon, is the Iron Chef to beat in a new episode called “Battle Symon Says,” in which the secret ingredient is a perfect protein. First, though, San Francisco chef Hiroo Nagahara takes on Los Angeles kitchen master David Schlosser, with host Alton Brown declaring which of them moves on to the face-off against Symon. That winner of that ultimate kitchen battle will be decided by judges Caroline Styne and Niki Nakayama.
