Jalen Hurts passed for 180 yards and three TDs in a little more than a quarter as the Tide (11-0) raced to a 35-0 halftime lead over the Bears (5-6). Freshman backup QB Tua Tagovailoa came in with just under 12 minutes left in the second quarter, exited early in the fourth and threw for three TDs.

■ No. 2 Clemson 61, The Citadel 3

Kelly Bryant threw for 230 yards and three TDs and was resting before halftime as the Tigers (10-1) routed the lowerdivis­ion Bulldogs (5-6). Bryant completed 17 of 22 before coach Dabo Swinney started putting in backups before the end of the first half. Freshman Tee Higgins caught six passes for 178 yards and two TDs and freshman Travis Etienne ran eight times for 62 yards and two TDs. Clemson finished with 662 yards.

■ No. 3 Miami 44, Virginia 28

Malik Rosier threw three TD passes and ran for a score, and the Hurricanes pulled off their biggest comeback in five years by beating the Cavaliers (6-5, 3-4 ACC) to extend the nation’s longest win streak to 15 games. Jaquan Johnson had an intercepti­on return for a TD and Miami (10-0, 7-0) scored the game’s last 30 points, twice climbing out of 14-point deficits to finish its first 7-0 regular-season home record since 1988.

■ No. 4 Oklahoma 41, Kansas 3

Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield threw for 257 yards and three TDs, leading the visiting Sooners (10-1, 7-1 Big 12) to a rout of the Jayhawks (1-10, 0-8).

■ No. 5 Wisconsin 24, No. 24 Michigan 10

Alex Hornibrook’s 24-yard TD pass to A.J. Taylor in the third quarter broke open a defensive slugfest, Kendric Pryor scored on an end-around, and the Badgers (11-0, 8-0 Big Ten) beat the Wolverines (8-3, 5-3). Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor finished with 132 yards on 19 carries.

■ No. 6 Auburn 42, Louisiana-Monroe 14

Darius Slayton’s 50-yard scoring catch in the first half gave the Tigers (9-2) a lead before they pulled away vs. the Warhawks (4-6). Kam Martin scored two third-quarter TDs. Nick Ruffin scored on a 45-yard intercepti­on return.

■ No. 7 Georgia 42, Kentucky 13

Seniors Nick Chubb and Sony Michel led a dominant running game, and the Bulldogs (10-1, 7-1 SEC) bounced back from their first loss by wearing down the visiting Wildcats (7-4, 4-4). Chubb rushed for 151 yards and two TDs, including a 55-yard burst to seal the win. Michel rambled for 87 yards and three scores, notably a 37-yard TD that sent Georgia into the half with a 21-6 lead. Georgia had 381 yards rushing.

■ No. 8 Notre Dame 24, Navy 17

Brandon Wimbush threw for 164 yards and two TDs and ran for a score as the Fighting Irish (9-2) rallied in the rain to beat the Midshipmen (6-4) in South Bend, Ind.

■ No. 9 Ohio State 52, Illinois 14

Ohio State (9-2, 7-1) scored on its first six possession­s — including J.T. Barrett’s 100th career TD pass — and routed the Illini to clinch the Big Ten East title. Barrett threw for two TDs, ran for another and became the Ohio State leader in rushing yards among QBs (3,070), eclipsing Braxton Miller. Ohio State’s defense limited the Illini (2-9, 0-9) to a season-low 105 yards in handing them a ninth straight loss.

■ No. 10 Penn State 56, Nebraska 44

Saquon Barkley broke Penn State’s career TD record with three scores and had 208 of 224 total yards in the first half to lead the Nittany Lions (9-2, 6-2 Big Ten) over the visiting Cornhusker­s (4-7, 3-5). Trace McSorley ran for a TD and threw for 325 yards and three TDs for Penn State. Mike Gesicki caught two scoring passes and became Penn State’s career touchdowns leader by a tight end with 13.

■ No. 11 USC 28, UCLA 23

Sam Darnold passed for 264 yards and a TD and rushed for a score, and the Trojans (10-2, 8-1 Pac-12) won a fourth straight over the Bruins (5-6, 3-5). Ronald Jones II rushed for 111 yards and two TDs, and Michael Pittman Jr. returned a punt 72 yards for a score on a spectacula­r trick play.

■ No. 12 TCU 27, Texas Tech 3

True freshman QB Shawn Robinson ran for 84 yards and threw a key second-half TD in his first career start as the visiting Frogs (9-2, 6-2 Big 12) beat the Red Raiders (5-6, 2-6) to stay in contention for the Big 12 Championsh­ip. Robinson filled in for Kenny Hill, who didn’t travel because of an unspecifie­d injury. TCU’s defense dominated, an effort capped by Jeff Gladney’s 93-yard intercepti­on return for a TD.

■ Kansas St. 45, No. 13 Oklahoma St. 40 ■ No. 15 UCF 45, Temple 19

McKenzie Milton threw four TD passes and ran for a score as the Knights (10-0, 7-0 American Athletic) took care of Temple (5-6, 3-4) in Philadelph­ia.

■ No. 16 Mississipp­i St. 28, Arkansas 21

Nick Fitzgerald threw a 6-yard TD pass to Deddrick Thomas with 17 seconds remaining, and the Bulldogs (8-3, 4-3 SEC) survived four fumbles to beat Arkansas (4-7, 1-6).

■ No. 17 Michigan St. 17, Maryland 7

LJ Scott ran for 147 yards and a TD to lead the Spartans (8-3, 6-2 Big Ten) to a snowy victory over Maryland (4-7, 2-6).

■ No. 18 Washington 33, Utah 30

Tristan Vizcaino hit a 38-yard field goal as time expired and the Huskies (9-2, 6-2 Pac-12) scored 10 points in the final 58 seconds to stun the Utes (5-6, 2-6).

■ Wake Forest 30, No. 19 N.C. State 24

John Wolford threw his third TD pass of the game to Tabari Hines with 8:03 remaining, and the Demon Deacons (7-4, 4-3 ACC) held on to upset the Wolfpack (7-4, 5-2).

■ No. 20 LSU 30, Tennessee 10

Derrius Guice and Darrel Williams combined to run for 165 yards and three TDs as the visiting Tigers (8-3, 5-2 SEC) beat the Vols (4-7, 0-7), who were playing their first game under Brady Hoke after the firing of Butch Jones.

■ No. 21 Memphis 66, SMU 45

Darrell Henderson rushed for 147 yards, including two long TDs, and Riley Ferguson threw for 320 yards and two scores and also scored on three runs as the Tigers (9-1, 6-1) claimed the American Athletic Conference West Division championsh­ip by beating the Mustangs (6-4, 3-4).

Bryce Love rushed for 101 yards and a TD despite missing most of the fourth quarter after aggravatin­g an ankle injury, and the Cardinal (8-3, 7-2) held off the Golden Bears (5-6, 2-6) to keep their Pac-12 title hopes alive.

■ No. 23 Northweste­rn 39, Minnesota 0

Clayton Thorson had three TD passes, Justin Jackson added 166 yards rushing on 31 carries, and the Wildcats (8-3, 6-2 Big Ten) forced five turnovers on defense as they beat the Gophers (5-6, 2-6).

■ No. 25 Boise State 44, Air Force 19

Brett Rypien threw for 300 yards and three TDs as Boise State (9-2, 7-0 Mountain West) won its seventh straight, beating the Falcons (4-7, 3-4). Byron Pringle caught three TD passes and returned a kickoff for a score to help the visiting Wildcats (6-5, 4-4) stun the Cowboys (8-3, 5-3 Big 12). OSU nearly erased a 29-point deficit in the second half, but K-State (6-5, 4-4) won to become bowl-eligible for an eighth consecutiv­e season.
