Convenienc­e store opens at The Greene

A new convenienc­e store has opened at The Greene Town Center in Beavercree­k.

Take A Break has opened on Glengarry Drive across form Tilly’s. The store carries energy drinks, snacks, lottery tickets, over-the-counter medication­s and personal hygiene products. The store will also sell beer and wine in the future.

Several new stores have opened at The Greene within the past year. Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, a restaurant serving baja tacos, chips and guacamole, is expected to open next to Mattress Firm. Eye care company Pearle Vision will open on Walnut Street next to Winan’s. Both are scheduled to open this year.

Other stores that opened this year include: Puzzles Plus, LaPuf Sweets, Aerolux Blinds & Shades, Deg’s Flame Grilled Chicken and Take A Break. Jake’s Toggery and Select Comfort have relocated into newly remodel and expanded spaces. agenda.

At least 75 full-time and part-time positions will be created at the location.

The company has 60 stores in Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Youngstown and Columbus. The stores says it’s best known for its closeouts department.

Kettering’s city manager is asking for approval from the city council to enter into an economic developmen­t incentive grant agreement with the company. The incentive would be a $100,000 forgivable loan. and other industry and global trends that have closed larger area GM and Delphi plants. The DMAX plant is the last facility in the Dayton area in which GM still has an ownership stake.

GM co-owns the plant with Isuzu. since Walmart went public that same year. Walmart has more than 11,600 stores in 28 countries.
