A family-owned hardware company will acquire Moe’s Outdoor Equipment & Supplies in Springboro.

Moe’s, located at 714 N. Main St., will be acquired in early February by E&H Hardware Group. E&H will also acquire Moe’s Mobile Service unit located in Liberty Twp. E&H Hardware Group is owned by the Bueler family in Wooster, and operates 22 hardware locations throughout Ohio.

The Springboro location will close on Feb. 3 and reopen Feb. 6 under new ownership. Moe’s Liberty Twp. will “slowly wind down operations ... with the new ownership change,” according to a company statement. Some employees from the Liberty Twp. location could be hired by the Springboro location.

Moe’s, formerly known as West Chester Lawn & Garden, started its outdoor power equipment business in 1988 and expanded to Springboro in 2010 with a second power equipment location. The location in Springboro also added an Ace Hardware after opening.

Ace Hardware product lines will be refreshed and popular store department­s, including outdoor power equipment and parts, will be enhanced at the Springboro store. Magie said the acquisitio­n will allow him to spend more time with family, friends and his church community. stores by early 2018. Target will initially offer sameday delivery of groceries, essentials, electronic­s and other products. By the end of 2019, same-day delivery will include all major products at Target.

Shipt is a rapidly growing membership-based grocery marketplac­e and same-day delivery platform. It is currently utilized by Meijer in the Southwest Ohio region. Through Shipt’s app, members are connected to local, reliable shoppers who help facilitate a quality delivery experience that is personaliz­ed, efficient and convenient.

Shipt will be a wholly owned Target subsidiary, and will continue to run its business independen­tly.

The transactio­n is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close prior to the end of calendar year 2017. This all-cash acquisitio­n will be immaterial to Target’s near-term financial results. Ohio. But Daniel made it clear he and his brother have not ruled out shifting their expansion efforts farther north in the future.
